Biography

Clara Rice provides a combination of left brain-right brain thinking that is rare in today's business environment. With bachelors, masters and executive degrees in Economics, Theatre and Management from top universities, Clara values the creativity of business and the business of creativity. She also has over a decade of professional and community leadership experience and has a solid slate of budgeting, writing, business development, inbound marketing and leadership skills.

In her role as Director of Communications, Clara is constantly searching for new brand positioning and marketing opportunities for JRA. Realizing that most themed entertainment companies had not yet fully jumped on the digital marketing bandwagon, she established a company blog and social media presence and helped lead an overhaul of her company's website. All of these efforts have had positive SEO and SMO impact, resulting in $250-$500K annually in new clients and projects. She is constantly exploring new ways to share JRA's story and projects with both industry and non-industry press and has dozens of published articles to her credit.

Recently, Clara project managed a company-wide overhaul of the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and digital marketing software to foster a deeper level of engagement between JRA and its clients and collaborators.

As chair of the TEA's NextGen Committee in 2014 and 2015, Clara led a volunteer team of 30 to create and produce events and initiatives that connected NextGen members to TEA programming and industry opportunities. This programming included networking mixers, webinars, conference events, behind the scenes tours and presentations at universities across the country and around the world. During her tenure, TEA NextGen membership increased from 143 to 356 (149%), and dozens of young professionals secured jobs within the industry.

Clara recently completed her term as 2nd Vice President of the Eastern North America Division Board. During her board tenure, she produced two profitable SATE Academy Days in emerging TEA markets (Cincinnati and Houston), secured over a dozen new company sponsors, and produced the Association's first ever New Member Webinar. Future TEA projects include creating events for C-suite level leaders to better connect or re-connect them to the Association.
