Clara Rice provides a combination of left brain-right brain thinking that is rare in today's business environment. With bachelors, masters and executive degrees in Economics, Theatre and Management from top universities, Clara values the creativity of business and the business of creativity.

In her role as Director of Communications, Clara is constantly searching for new brand positioning and marketing opportunities for JRA. Realizing that most themed entertainment companies had not yet fully jumped on the digital marketing bandwagon, she established a company blog and social media presence and helped lead two overhauls of her company's website. Recently, Clara project managed a company-wide overhaul of the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and digital marketing software to foster a deeper level of engagement between JRA and its clients and collaborators. All of these efforts have had positive SEO and SMO impact, resulting in $500K-$1M annually in new accounts.

Clara has held a number of roles within the TEA over the last decade. As chair of the NextGen Committee in 2014 and 2015, Clara led a volunteer team of 30 to create and produce events and initiatives that connected NextGen members to TEA programming and industry opportunities. This programming included networking mixers, webinars, conference events, behind the scenes tours and presentations at universities around the world. During her tenure, TEA NextGen membership increased from 143 to 356 (149%), and dozens of young professionals secured jobs within the industry.

As 2nd Vice President of the Eastern North America Division in 2015-2016, Clara produced two profitable SATE Academy Days in emerging TEA markets (Cincinnati and Houston), secured over a dozen new company sponsors, and produced the Association's first ever New Member Webinar.

Currently, Clara serves as Vice President of the International Board of Directors. In this role, she helps shape the policies and procedures of the association and engages in strategic planning initiatives to ensure future growth. In addition to sitting on the Finance Committee, through her role as VP she serves as the Executive Committee Liaison to the Marketing & Communications Task Force.

Throughout her tenure in the TEA, Clara has spoken at Assocation events and conference around the world, covering such diverse topics as working in China, talent attraction and engagement, gender inequity, and improving access for disabled guests.
