A message to TEA members regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus)

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) leadership is engaged to do its best for our global community and the industry we serve. In the face of current disruption by the COVID-19 virus, we’re working to keep the TEA community spirit alive, to stay connected and supportive of one another.

Our members, our industry and our association are being affected in a variety of ways. Asia Pacific is facing considerable challenges. All other regions are being affected as well. The situation is taking a toll on the ability to conduct business day-to-day as well as the big picture of tourism and travel. There are still many uncertainties and issues to be faced.

Together with the TEA International Board and TEA Headquarters staff we are working to determine how TEA - in its capacity as an international membership association - can best respond to and serve the needs of membership and the industry as the situation continues to play out. We’re staying up to date on information shared by the World Health Organization. We are in regular communication with our leaders and members around the world. We are dedicated to responding appropriately and to sharing relevant information in a timely manner.

Over the course of the next weeks and months, we’ll continue to facilitate networking and dialogue as much as possible, in safe and accessible ways. During this challenging period, fostering communication between member companies and preserving the networking opportunities, international goodwill and collaborative team spirit that are core to TEA culture and mission will help reinforce the strength of our global business community.  

TEA's global team is engaged in determining the best options for continuing to serve our membership and our mission with a number of initiatives, including a coordinated, digital engagement plan. This is a centralized effort of TEA Headquarters working closely with the TEA International Board of Directors.

Common Sense Event Attendance Rules:
-If you don't feel good, stay home.
-If you've been in prolonged close contact with someone who is ill or at risk, stay home.
-If you've been ordered to self quarantine - please do.
-Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer regularly.

Washing your hands is said to be the best precaution against infection by coronavirus.

TEA Digital will tap the association's dedicated online channels, archives and brain trust to serve members

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has launched TEA Digital to use the organization's dedicated, global platforms and online channels to support its membership with education, professional development, discussion and networking. The program will support online discussion threads, webinars, watch parties, virtual mixers and more - including an online job fair.
