TEA Connect Blog

The TEA Connect blog is an online platform for the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) to share TEA announcements, event notices and reports with the TEA membership, the industry and the public, to share a selection of relevant articles from TEA members, TEA Divisions, and TEA Committees, and to provide a gateway to other TEA resources for the themed entertainment community and for the press.

TEA community turns out in force for Bezark open house

Adam Bezark of The Bezark Company delivered this report on the firm's July 23 open house, "A Midsummer Night's Magic," celebrating their new headquarters in Atwater Village in metropolitan Los Angeles. This event was organized under the umbrella of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Western North America Division. Head count: 225! "At one point there was a 15 minute line to get in!" said Bezark. "We felt like a theme park attraction."

As a new TEA member and someone who is not yet directly working in the industry, I was very intimidated by the idea of going to the SeaWorld event and not knowing a single person. My experience on Thursday changed everything though, and I found everyone I met to be extremely friendly, humble, and more than happy to connect.

TEA members explore behind the scenes at SeaWorld San Diego

New developments at SeaWorld San Diego - Explorer's Reef and the new entrance plaza - were the focus of a day at the park open to Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) members and their guests. In the evening were an educational tour, mixer and discussion. The June 25, 2015 event was organized by the TEA Western North America Division and drew 89 TEA members plus family and friends for a total of 120 participants.

In France, 64 join TEA group to visit Puy du Fou, the unique historical theme park and Thea Award recipient

"One of the benefits of membership in the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) is their organization of visits to some of the best the world has to offer, to see what they do and how they do it. And I have just come back from Puy du Fou," writes brand experience consultant Johnny Lyle. He had joined a group of 64 people from 10 different countries on a 2-day educational excursion (July 2-3) organized by the TEA Europe & Middle East Division (EME) to visit the unique, historical theme park in France, Puy du Fou.
