NextGen Events

TEA’s NextGen Initiative helps students and recent graduates find their way into the themed entertainment/visitor attractions industry and facilitates member companies’ ability to recruit from this fresh talent pool. TEA NextGen also works with academic institutions to foster the creation of themed entertainment curricula. Universities and colleges may create TEA student clubs under the TEA NextGen umbrella.

TEA’s NextGen Committee promotes a wide range of events to support these goals. Standalone events include behind-the-scenes visits to attractions and volunteer activities at Give Kids the World Village. TEA student club gatherings bring in professionals to speak about their careers and give advice. Networking events allow students and potential employers to meet.

In addition, TEA’s signature events such as the SATE conference, TEA Summit and Thea Awards Gala all include opportunities and sessions designed for NextGen members to network, learn about the industry, meet and speak with potential mentors and employers, and volunteer for the Association.

TEA has adopted the practice of holding its annual SATE design conference on a college campus to further enrich the Association’s collaboration and dialog with educational institutions and give all attendees the benefit of campus immersion.

TEA NextGen events may take place anywhere in the world that TEA is active. They are announced via social media streams, emails to members and the TEA Events Calendar. If you have questions or want to help organize, host or sponsor an event, please contact TEA NextGen Chair Arielle Rassel, Arielle.Rassel@nbcuni.com or get in touch with your TEA Division Board, or the TEA Headquarters.
