Crooked Can Brewery was the scene for TEA Eastern Division mixer Jan 18

The Eastern North America Division of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) hosted its first networking mixer of 2018 at Crooked Can Brewing Company in Winter Garden, FL on Thursday, January 18.

TEA Eastern Division president Melissa Ruminot of The Nassal Company said, "Crooked Can is always a local favorite - and we are very pleased to report that over 300 attractions industry professionals attended for making connections, networking, and enjoying the local craft beer options. This free mixer was also something of an outreach event: We made a point of welcoming non-members of TEA to participate so that they could learn more about the value TEA can bring to their organizations. and professional development. Information on membership opportunities such as professional development and the wide range of TEA member benefits was shared. We hope we will see some of the newcomers join TEA so that they can participate in future, members-only events that are being planned."

TEA International Board member Matt Kent of Hotopp Associates (who provided photos) said, “Crooked Can is a great place to meet up with old friends from the industry, as well as to make new contacts. This event was excellent...very productive. I met a range of folks that are new to the TEA from NextGen up and comers to seasoned professionals from various disciplines. I highly recommend anyone interested in themed entertainment attend these local mixers.”

Dan Picard, also of TEA member company Hotopp, said, “Hotopp values every TEA mixer, because attending them contributes to the success of our organization. It was a great way to start the New Year off and catch up with people we hadn’t seen since before the holiday. This one in particular produced great conversations and the potential for new project opportunities.”
