Eric Lehman Promoted to Global Sales and Marketing Manager for 7thSense Design

7thSense Design has promoted Eric Lehman to the position of Global Sales and Marketing Manager. Eric joined 7thSense as Business Development Manager in 2017 and has since been instrumental in establishing the company’s Orlando office, securing high profile theme park and attraction projects internationally, and playing an active role in developing new media serving and control solutions, as well as strategic partnerships for new products.

The One That Traveled - FRIENDS Pop-Up Moving to Boston

In 2019, Meet Vincent van Gogh delighted audiences across Europe and Asia with its playfulness, interactivity and captivating storytelling.

Meet Vincent van Gogh Europe’s premiere
Meet Vincent van Gogh was on display in both Barcelona and Seoul earlier this year. The European launch of Meet Vincent van Gogh in Barcelona took place from April to July. Located in the cultural heart of the city- superyacht harbor, Port Vell – Meet Vincent attracted locals eager to know more about Van Gogh’s inspiring life story and many of the tourists who travel to Barcelona for the city’s vibrant cultural scene. Meet Vincent van Gogh in Seoul
While on display in Barcelona, Meet Vincent van Gogh had its second Asian tour stop at Seoul’s Woojung Arts Center in mid-April 2019. Speaking to the success of Meet Vincent van Gogh in Korea, Yong K. Kim, CEO of the Experience’s local partner, MAST Media & Entertainment, states, “Meet Vincent van Gogh is a completely multisensory experience that people can touch, look at and hear- altogether a new paradigm. The fact that people can take selfies freely throughout the exhibit led the Experience to become a hotspot for social media savvy youngsters, as well as families and students.”

In addition to Meet Vincent van Gogh, the Van Gogh Museum has developed a range of experiential concepts perfectly suited to retailtainment opportunities and cultural exhibition spaces. For example, the Van Gogh Museum Edition Pop-Up – a unique retailtainment concept combining an introduction to the art and life of Van Gogh with a fully-stocked Van Gogh Museum merchandise store – has been touring the United States’ premiere retail destinations since late 2018.

During IAAPA Expo Europe Show in Paris, on 18th of September, Park World magazine has held its prestigious awards gala, and honored the very best parks & attractions from Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Cinesplash 5D at Yas Waterworld has won in the category: Best Waterpark Attraction 2019.

Sesame Street: Street Mission Wins BIG! Sally dark ride awarded “Family Ride of the Year” and “Europe’s Best New Ride”

Jacksonville, FL – Sally Dark Rides has been celebrating since the IAAPA European Expo after receiving two major industry awards for its successful interactive dark ride, Sesame Street: Street Mission. 

The interactive dark ride opened at PortAventura World earlier this year and was the first dark ride at the park, and the first Sesame Street-themed ride in Europe.  Street Mission was nominated in a variety of categories and for a variety of industry and fan-based awards.  At the end of the week, it received the prestigious Park World Excellence Award for “Family Ride of the Year” and placed first in the Kirmes European Star Awards in “Europe’s Best New Ride” category.

The near 6 minute ride experience (10 minute preshow and 5:50 minute ride) includes realistic Sesame Street sets and scenery and numerous animatronics from the iconic television show.  Detective Grover is your guide through this interactive adventure, urging guests to collect clues that will help solve a mystery happening on Sesame Street.  With lovable characters, immersive scenery, interactive gameplay, and even changing scents throughout, this mixed media attraction appeals to guests of all ages.

Industry-Leading Aquatics Firm Announces New Name as Martin Aquatic Design & Engineering

The 32-year-old firm specializing in aquatic feature design has announced a name change from Aquatic Design & Engineering to Martin Aquatic Design & Engineering. By attaching the name of the founding principal Ken Martin and the president and creative director Josh Martin, the firm is solidifying its family legacy in the aquatics industry.
