Julie Holmes named JK2 Scenic president

Newly formed company on track for continued growth in construction industry

APOPKA, Fla. (May 29, 2018) – Julie Holmes has been named the president of JK2 Scenic, the new theming and specialty construction company formed after spinning off from JK2.

Armed with a civil engineering background and a vast knowledge of corporate management, leadership and business practice experience, the University of Florida graduate has already helped the company achieve incredible growth.

Holmes, an Apopka native, returned to her hometown in 2013 to join the family business. Since she was named to the leadership team, Holmes has been heading the day-to-day operations as vice president of the Scenic Division.

Under her direction, JK2 Scenic has seen revenues grow by more than 1,000 percent. The company has also received many awards due to growth and success in the construction industry as part of the JK2 brand. In just the last year, the company was awarded three Eagle Awards by the Associated Builders and Contractors and was named to the Orlando Business Journal’s Fast 50 and the Gator100 list.

“As vice president, Julie built up the Scenic Division and achieved astounding growth,” said Paul Holmes, president and founder of JK2 Construction. “I’m confident that as president, her company will truly come into its own, continuing to grow and thrive.”

Julie Holmes aims to expand JK2 Scenic’s client base outside of the Central Florida market and take the company to the next level by diversifying services and growing through responsible and strategic initiatives. Holmes, a principal of the company, is paving the way for JK2 Scenic to become a woman owned and operated business.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the tradition of building quality, creative projects through JK2 Scenic,” Julie Holmes said. “JK2 Scenic started with the idea of building dreams through custom theming, architectural millwork and specialty themed items. I’m living my dream by leading our talented team into the future and turning these creative dreams into reality.”

7thSense Utilised at the XI Gallery for Intricate Projection Mapping of Lower Manhattan

The “XI Gallery” has recently opened in New York’s Meatpacking District – a hybrid art installation and showroom for architect Bjarke Ingels’ luxury residences and a hotel under construction at “The XI” (pronounced The Eleventh) building a few blocks away. Its feature commanding most attention, from both invited guests and the street, is a curiously-shaped, 33-ft wide model of Lower Manhattan, comprised of more than 10,000 miniature 3D-printed and hand cut buildings. Technology West Group installed and commissioned 7thSense Delta Media Servers to bring projection-mapping life to “The Egg”.
