TEA Behind the Scenes at The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor - Kourtney Day reports

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Western North America Division organized a behind-the-scenes experience at The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor on October 6 2019.

The 60 TEA members in attendance were given early entrance into the attraction and received a personalized “lights-on” tour of both the Feast and Rogue mazes guided by Steve Sheldon of Epic Entertainment and Bonnie Hallman of Mycotoo (both companies were involved in the project.) Sheldon and Hallman then hosted a Q&A session in the RIP Lounge, where attendees also enjoyed drinks and a taco bar.

After the tour and presentations, our TEA group was allowed to witness the entrance fanfare where costumed entertainers welcomed and ushered people into Dark Harbor in a sinister manner appropriate to the occasion. Then we were turned loose to spend the remainder of the evening daring to enter the six haunting mazes, networking in the RIP Lounge, discovering secret bars, and enjoying the endless live entertainment!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this event a success - hosts, sponsors, organizers, volunteers, TEA staff and everyone who attended.
