Speakers announced for TEA SATE 17 Asia in Beijing, Nov 3-5

“As TEA grows, and as our industry grows, we’re pleased to be able to grow SATE,” says TEA International Board President David Willrich of DJ Willrich Ltd. The SATE 17 Asia theme is "Cultural and Historic Futures." 

Earlier in 2017, TEA SATE Europe took place in the UK. TEA SATE 17 LA (Oct 5-6 at CalArts) will be followed by TEA SATE Asia 17 Nov 3-5 in Beijing

The SATE acronym stands for Story + Architecture + Technology = Experience. SATE also alludes to a collaborative culture of production, in which designers, technologists, producers, developers and operators work closely together from the early stages of a project, in a team structure often more horizontal than hierarchical.

Hundreds of members of the global attractions industry attended and responded enthusiastically to the launch of the first-ever Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Thea Awards Digital Case Studies. The opening session on August 6, 2020 was a keynote presentation showcasing Nancy Seruto, recipient of the Buzz Price Thea Award for a Lifetime of Distinguished Achievements, in conversation with Phil Hettema of The Hettema Group, tracing Seruto's remarkable creative career, influences, outlook and achievements.
