TEA group visits Crayola Experience in Orlando

Orlando -- The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Eastern North America Division hosted a unique event at The Crayola Experience on February 28th, 2019, to a full house of 80 people.

The group was introduced to the sensory friendly activities program at Crayola Experience, a 70,000-square-foot facility that opened in June 2015 in the Florida Mall. Event sponsor was Weber Group, the design firm on the project.

The evening began with a short mixer before a special presentation of the Crayola Factory Show. Following the show, Jackie Vasquez, Sales and Marketing Manager, gave a presentation on their program for sensory friendly activities. The program provides monthly opportunities that focus on giving an open and safe experience to guests with sensory sensitivity. Wrapping up the presentation, Sam Weber discussed Weber Group’s participation in the initial and ongoing design and updating of the venue. Guests were then given the opportunity to free play in the venue.

Special thanks to May Calderon, Senior Group Sales Account Executive and Jackie Vasquez, of Crayola Experience for their assistance in facilitating this event, and to Sam Weber and Weber Group.

Other TEA member companies that were involved in the creation of Crayola Experience in Orlando include Visual Terrain, Bay Laurel Advisors, Management Resources, 1220 Exhibits and Entertainment + Culture Advisors.

Thanks to Garrick Hansen of exp, Greg Senner of Hoplite and Rich Hill of Sally Corp. for their welcome assistance obtaining and providing materials for this article.
