Over 300 attend TEA SATE - Seattle 2019 Conference on Experience Design

More than 300 industry members attended TEA SATE - Seattle, Sept 26-27, 2019 organized by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).

The theme was “Embracing Diversity” and the venue was the Cornish Playhouse at Seattle Center. There were two full days of sessions and panels related to Experience Design in the context of diversity and the "pillars of TEA SATE": Storytelling + Architecture + Technology = Experience.

The 2019 TEA Masters were officially honored at TEA SATE - Seattle, where they also presented on an educational panel. The TEA Masters program honors masters of their craft in the global visitor attractions industry. Click here to learn more about the 2019 TEA Masters presentation.

Delegates were able to take advantage of the TEA SATE - Seattle location within the Seattle Center and visit the newly renovated Space Needle. Other local activities included a tour of the Seattle Underground and a post-conference excursion to Tillicum Village.

TEA SATE is the Themed Entertainment Association's signature international conference on Experience Design, bringing together the brightest minds and top decision makers exploring what's next in Storytelling, Architecture, Technology, and Experience in visitor attractions. TEA SATE Seattle 2019

The dates and locations of the TEA SATE 2020 conferences were announced during the event by TEA Past President David Willrich. More information will be available soon at www.teaconnect.org:

  • Barcelona: PortAventura, 6-7 May
  • Osaka: Panasonic, 20-21 August
  • Las Vegas: UNLV, 1-3 October

TEA SATE Seattle Space Needle Visit
Delegates visited the recently renovated Space Needle, a perfect follow up to SATE Day One which concluded with three sessions that touched on the past, present and future of the historic observation experience. Celebrating excellence: TEA Thea Awards & TEA Summit - new dates and plans for 2020 and 2021

This year (2020), the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) will celebrate and showcase the 26th Annual Thea Awards recipients with a series of digital Thea Case Studies sessions, and next year will resume gathering in person for the TEA Summit and the 27th Annual Thea Awards Gala presented by Chimelong, at Disneyland Resort April 8-10, 2021.
