Pasadena: 175 attend TEA Western Division mixer, 3/8/18

El Cholo Cafe in Pasadena was the location of an informal mixer organized by the TEA Western North America Division on March 6, 2018.

Some 175 people attended, enjoying conversation, networking, margaritas and refreshments.

Our group met on the private outside patio. The mix of attendees included TEA member companies (some of them looking for new hires) and TEA NextGen members, including a loyal contingent of students from UC San Diego who regularly visit as many TEA events as possible.

The event was open to all attractions industry professionals, including prospective and future TEA members.

We hope some great relationships were formed and strengthened.

TEA announces Thea recipients, welcomes new Board members, mixes and mingles at IAAPA Attractions Expo Orlando

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) booth at IAAPA Orlando 2018 was continually busy throughout the four days of the Expo, providing a place for people to learn more about and join the association, make connections, catch up with colleagues, attend sponsored mixers and learn about the new slate of TEA Thea Awards recipients.

Experience Design: Themed Entertainment Association NextGen members undertake a creative exercise in Europe

The NextGen Initiative of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) brings students and recent graduates into the association to help acquaint them with the international attractions industry and build careers. Working with TEA leadership, TEA NextGen members within the TEA EME Division recently took a bold, hands-on approach and formed a team to develop a creative concept for a fictitious theme park. Appropriately, the idea for this mock project exercise emerged during a discussion at TEA SATE, the Association's signature conference on Experience Design.
