Vision
TEA is an international alliance that provides access to the world's most talented, knowledgeable and professional creators of compelling places and experiences

Mission
The two-part mission of the TEA is:
    To gather the creators of compelling places and experiences as members
    To stimulate their knowledge, professional growth and success


Long Term Goals
    To create a strong and relevant brand
    To attract and maintain a vital and engaged membership
    To attain permanent financial stability

Each of the three long term goals are supported by key objectives. These key objectives will be implemented through specific strategies that focus on:
    Education
    Networking
    Marketing
Both inside and outside the association

Goal 1 - To create a strong and relevant brand
Key Objectives:
  • Establish a clearly identified brand that reaches out to all potential users of the membership's products and services
  • Create an outreach component of the association that exists to educate potential users and influencers to our role in their success
  • Continue efforts to standardize contracts and business practices, to clarify and enforce the Code of Ethics and to increase awareness of the Project Development Guidelines.
  • Devise and fund a marketing strategy that will increase awareness of the association and its member's roles in the creation of engaging guest experiences
  • Goal 2 - To attract and maintain a vital and engaged membership
    Key Objectives:
  • Create enriching opportunities for the membership, using experts inside and outside our key industries
  • Focus on and build "inreach" to members
  • Create member access to new business opportunities
  • Goal 3 - To attain permanent financial stability
    Key Objectives:
  • Pursue corporate sponsors
  • Build membership
  • Investigate other revenue streams
  • Maintain an efficient cost structure

    The following short term goals were set at the January 2003 International Board retreat
  • Develop and approve the TEA Strategic Plan
  • Build revenue of the association by membership and other markets
  • To improve the overall value of membership (the value proposition)
  • Launch the THEA conference
