Biography

As Vice President, Site Portfolio Executive, Jeanette Lomboy oversees all Walt Disney Imagineering efforts and overall visioning for the Disneyland Resort (including Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney, Disney Grand Californian Hotel, the Disneyland Hotel, and Disney Paradise Pier Hotel), and for Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Jeanette drives creative development and business strategy for all WDI projects at all parks, hotels, and resort areas in the region, from inception and delivery to sustainment and operations. Most recently, the all-new Avengers Campus, Pixar Pier, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! were delivered under Jeanette’s direct leadership.

Previously, Jeanette was the portfolio executive producer for Marvel efforts worldwide and Disney’s Animal Kingdom leading lead high-level creative development, strategy, planning, production and management of the portfolio. She also served as the portfolio executive producer for Disney Cruise Line and as the executive producer for Pandora – the World of AVATAR. As a producer, Jeanette launched the innovative Disney Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure at Epcot and was responsible for leading the overall creative effort for the award-winning Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. For her work, Jeanette has been the recipient of the Themed Entertainment Association Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement for three separate projects (including Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, Pandora – the World of AVATAR, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!), and she holds a patent for user interactive living organisms.

Jeanette joined The Walt Disney Company in 1995 as a Disneyland Attractions ride operator. In addition to her accomplishments with Walt Disney Imagineering, she managed Walt Disney Parks and Resorts’ Marketing Special Events team during Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary and conceived and delivered new global initiatives for Adventures by Disney.

Outside of Disney, Jeanette’s career includes rich experience throughout the hospitality and tourism industry. She was the Manager of Passenger Programs and Entertainment at Princess Cruises, overseeing entertainment product across the line’s fleet while launching a number of new-build cruise ships. For her work, Travel Agent Magazine named her one of the Top 100 Rising Stars. She is also a freelance travel journalist and previous media member of the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA).

Jeanette received her BA from UCLA and makes her permanent home with her family in the Los Angeles area.
