The TEA Connect blog is an online platform for the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) to share TEA announcements, event notices and reports with the TEA membership, the industry and the public, to share a selection of relevant articles from TEA members, TEA Divisions, and TEA Committees, and to provide a gateway to other TEA resources for the themed entertainment community and for the press.

Thierry Coup and Universal Creative team talk Harry Potter at TEA Thea Case Studies Day March 20 in Anaheim

New Harry Potter attractions inspired the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) to create a new Thea Award category: the Paragon Award, specifically for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando. The award recognizes the entire land, integrated retail and food and beverage, and the Hogwarts Express, in addition to the wand technology.

Phil Hettema and The Hettema Group to produce 21st annual Thea Awards Gala, March 21 at Disneyland Resort

Global appetite for themed entertainment: Report from the TEA Strategic Planning Meeting 2015

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) International Board of Directors headed by president Steve Birket of Birket Engineering met January 22-23, 2015 with COO Jennie Nevin, key representatives of TEA's four geographic Divisions, and TEA Committee chairs for the Association's annual Strategic Planning Meeting (SPM). The gathering was hosted in ideal accommodations: the handsome and convenient Glendale offices of Reveal Studio and the Blueist training center. TEA warmly thanks these companies for their generous hospitality.

Pat MacKay to be honored with Themed Entertainment Assn Service Award at Thea Awards Gala March 21

Anaheim, Calif. TEA Summit helps educate tomorrow's themed entertainment professionals; some scholarships available for March 20

NextGen members of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) are students and recent grads working to enter the international attractions industry (as designers, artisans, producers, writers, engineers, operators, etc.). A highlight of TEA NextGen membership is first-hand access to educational and networking events such as the annual TEA Summit (March 19-20), followed by the Thea Awards Gala (March 21) at Disneyland Resort. TEA NextGen members have access to discounted tickets for these events - a limited number of scholarships are also available, and applications are being accepted through Feb 6.
