NextGen Event At SCAD

The TEA is partnering with the Savannah College of Art & Design to host a NextGEN event at SCAD’s historic Poetter Hall on Friday Oct. 29 from 3 to 7 p.m.

After a welcome by SCAD’s John Hobbie, Chair of the Production Design Department and themed entertainment program, there will be a short keynote on generational differences by Zoe Thatcher, a designer and illustrator at Creative Principals along with her siblings and SCAD Senior and Sophomore Joel & Mia Thatcher.

Following the keynote, a group of TEA members and NextGEN students will then participate in a panel to discuss everything from how to create attractions with universal generational appeal to working and collaborating with different generations. When the session ends at 4 p.m., SCADStory, a 4D theater experience, will be open to guests as light refreshments are served.

At 5 p.m., we’ll walk 10 minutes across Savannah’s historic Forysth Park to The Mansion for dinner (NextGEN students will eat free). After dinner, everyone is welcome to enjoy the attractions of the most haunted city in America on Halloween eve.
