PHOENIX COMICON BRINGS ZTAG LIVE ZOMBIE INFECTION GAME & ZOMBIE TEAM ELIMINATION TO THIS YEAR’S EVENT

PHOENIX COMICON BRINGS ZTAG LIVE ZOMBIE INFECTION GAME & ZOMBIE TEAM ELIMINATION TO THIS YEAR’S EVENT Valencia, California, May 2, 2017 – Two ZTag events—a zombie infection game and Zombie Team Elimination—will be featured at this year’s Phoenix Comicon, this Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th to 28th, at the Phoenix Convention Center. In ZTag, players wear infrared (IR) badges that interact not only with the environment but with each other. Badges can be programmed to allow players to engage in different challenges. ZTag is based on Gantom Live!’s award winning Torch Technology. There will be an ongoing ZTag Live Zombie Infection Game taking place in the Hall of Heroes from 4 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, May 25th; Friday and Saturday, May 26th and 27th, from 10 am to 7 pm; and on Sunday, May 28th, from 10 am to 4 pm. Attendees purchase twin packs of ZTag badges from the ZTag booth in the Hall of Heroes for $20 (or single badges for $12), and it’s free to play all day! “The virus has been released and time is of the essence! Embark on a quest to survive by visiting key locations throughout the Convention Center to collect ingredients for the antidote. Once you’ve collected all the ingredients, you’ll become a doctor who can help others complete their quest. Beware! Many have failed and have become zombies... and they may be out to get you!” The ZTag League event, Zombie Team Elimination, will run in short sessions on Thursday, May 25th from noon to 6 pm; on Friday and Saturday, May 26th and 27th from 10 am to 8 pm; and on Sunday, May 28th, from 10 am to 4 pm. Players can sign up their team ahead of time via the Phoenix Comic Con website or form a walk-up team during the convention. “Ready to experience the Hunger Games in real life? Prepare for this fast-paced team vs. team format of ZTag that will get your adrenaline pumping and neurons buzzing. It's a true test of teamwork and strategy: eliminate the other team while guaranteeing the survival of your own. The mission is simple yet the strategy is complex: You must create more doctors than the opposing team to win. However, you’ll need to sacrifice some players as zombies to sabotage your enemies. The balance between safety and firepower is critical!” ABOUT PHOENIX COMICON Phoenix Comicon is a multi-genre entertainment and comic book convention held annually in Phoenix, Arizona.
