Technically Creative Appoint Clive Powell as Creative Sales Manager

Immersive attractions experts, Technically Creative, have appointed Clive Powell to the role of Creative Sales Manager. The appointment comes at a time when Technically Creative are looking to kick on, following a successful first half of the year. Clive has been brought in to help drive and develop the sales and products of the exciting, immersive experience provider.

With a passion for creating wonderful experiences within the industry, Clive has a thorough understanding of how to deliver the expectations that clients desire, with extreme precision. Operating in an ever-changing world of requirements and trends, Clive is set to be a key figure in the future of Technically Creative, with exciting new products, technology and services on the horizon.

Clive began his career as a commercial illustrator and marketing professional, specialising within the leisure sector. He then made the decision to move into the leisure attraction arena, designing children’s soft play and laser tag arenas around the globe. From there, Clive became involved with the theming industry designing and manufacturing an array of attractions, before working as a consultant and heading up creative divisions for some notable creative manufacturers.

Previously Clive has worked on several major projects, with the likes of Sundown Adventureland, Paulton’s Park, Drayton Manor, Sea-Life, Blackpool Tower, Trafford Centre, along with some high-end private theming commissions.

Upon his appointment, Clive said “I am delighted to join this exciting company. For me, the handshake was as much inspired by the team of talented people as the incredible products the company is creating… Watch this space… Technically Creative’s work is out of this world!”

JRA-Designed Nickelodeon Playtime FEC to Open in China Q4 2020

China Leisure Development Co., (CLDC) and ViacomCBS have inked a deal to develop a Nickelodeon-themed Family Entertainment Center (FEC) in the city of Shenzhen, China. Comprising four attraction zones featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Dora the Explorer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as Nickelodeon branded retail and a sit-down play café, the FEC is expected to open in Q4 2020 at Shenzhen OCT Happy Harbor.

Storyland Studios Celebrates Poverty Encounter's TEA Thea

Storyland Studios, an experience design firm that helps brands connect their stories in three dimensions, congratulates Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF), a first-time recipient of the Themed Entertainment Association’s (TEA) Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement on a Limited Budget. Storyland contributed concept development and design for Poverty Encounter, a permanent exhibit, at the non-profit’s Los Angeles headquarters. The annual award brings recognition to achievement, talent and personal excellence within the themed entertainment industry.
