Experience UK to host the UK Pavilion at Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo (SEA) 2022

Experience UK is delighted to be taking a delegation to the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo (SEA) for the second year running. The event is Saudi Arabia’s flagship leisure and entertainment expo, and will take place between May 16 – 18. Experience UK will host an exclusive UK Pavilion in partnership with principal stakeholder, the Department for International Trade.

Through the ambitious cultural and tourism agendas as part of Saudi Vision 2030, the KSA’s museum and attraction sectors are flourishing faster than any country. $64 billion USD is set to be invested into Saudi Arabia’s tourism and leisure markets in the next years, leaving plenty of opportunities for UK Creative Industries to get involved with and play a pivotal role in the nation’s exciting revolution.

A diverse range of UK companies join will present at the Pavilion to showcase their products/services, while others will join us as an on-foot delegate.  Some, including acclaimed themed attraction designer Katapult, have already began to establish their footprint within the Kingdom. The Derby-based firm signed an agreement to work alongside Saudi Arabia’s leading hospitality and entertainment company the Al Hokair Group in 2021. Meanwhile, Ventola Projects, a Leicester based firm which provides experiential & light solutions has recently secured a project win at a new FEC facility within Saudi Arabia.

Other companies within the Experience UK delegation have partnered with some of the biggest operators and organisations within the Middle East to deliver a wealth of next-generation projects, and are now looking to tap into the KSA’s rich opportunities by attending SEA.

These include SES Entertainment Services Ltd, Clark Door Ltd, 7th Sense, White Light Ltd, Clark Door and UCargo.

The Experience UK Pavilion can be found on Booth 4C21. Attendees of the show are welcome to come and experience the product showcases, and have private meetings with companies within the UK delegation at the on-stand Business Lounge.

Waterparks: Riding a Recovery Wave

After two years of pandemic concerns that saw many waterparks remain closed throughout 2020 and suffer continued disruption in 2021, 2022 is anticipated to be a pivot back to normal for the industry. As vaccines are now widely available and COVID becomes endemic, waterparks are poised to capitalize on pent-up demand and return to pre-COVID performance levels. While 2021 saw robust growth in pricing at many properties, 2022 will see the industry open a number of expansions and new developments. Several large-scale projects will alter the waterpark landscape at both indoor and outdoor waterparks and continue to encourage properties to innovate and update to keep market share. A number of larger developments are planned for 2023 and beyond at waterparks and surf parks throughout North America.
