Experience UK West Yorkshire Exporting Roadshow date announced

Experience UK, the trade body which represents UK companies who design, create, and deliver world-class visitor experiences, will be in Leeds next month, 13th July 2022, for the Yorkshire leg of our Exporting Roadshow series, designed in partnership with the Department for International Trade.

The Roadshow invites companies who supply products and services to Museums, Leisure and Entertainment attractions from the West Yorkshire region the chance to come together to gain insight into the fundamental support available to drive business growth through export activity.

The informal and engaging afternoon will include bitesize speaker segments from key leaders in the cultural and visitor attraction sector.  Delegates will learn how Experience UK represents & supports UK companies, gain insight to DIT’s priority markets & global market activity, and will gather key takeaways from a local Exporting Champion.

There will be plenty of networking opportunities with Experience UK, Department for International Trade and peers within West Yorkshire who supply to the cultural, leisure and entertainment sector. International Trade Advisers will also be present to discuss both local and global business objectives and the support available through DIT.

The FREE event is targeted at West-Yorkshire based professionals who supply creative and technology-led services to the sector, and will be beneficial to companies who are looking to or are currently exporting to museums and visitor attractions globally.

The Yorkshire Exporting Roadshow will commence at 13:00 BST at Leeds Discovery Centre, Carlisle Road, LS10 1LB.  Registration can be found here:

Ian Clappison, Director of Experience UK said: “After successfully touring London, Belfast, Manchester and Birmingham we are thrilled to take our Roadshow programme to Leeds for the West Yorkshire edition. Leeds and the wider area has been identified as a Creative Industries hotspot, and I look forward to meeting with the region’s companies and tourism organisations who are keen to globally expand their offer.

“By attending you will garner a range of exporting insight, including how Experience UK supports the sector and DIT’s global market activity. If you’re in the Experience Economy sector and looking to expand your exporting knowledge it really should not be missed.”

Richard Parry, Head of Experience Economy for Department for International Trade added:  “If you or your company is in the business of storytelling, architecture, creative technology, entertainment or design, then this event is something you should not miss. It will be an informal afternoon offering delegates a change to learn about the DIT’s and Experience UK’s support for the experiential sector and to meet the people behind all the initiatives aimed at helping our creative companies sell internationally.

“COVID 19 has had a huge impact on much of the creative sector and it is clear that, despite a return to something like normal in the second half of 2021, further difficulties lie ahead. But as and when we emerge from the latest wave, there will be exciting international business opportunities for our creative companies – opportunities which we can help you take.”
