Paris: 40 attend TEA mixer at Musée Grévin

Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) members and non-members met at the Musée Grévin in Paris for a private tour of the mythical museum on March 29, 2018, organized by the TEA Europe & Middle East Division.

The city centre attraction opened in 1882 to give people the opportunity to “see with their own eyes” what the celebrities they were reading about back then actually looked like. It stands out as one of the most original wax museums in the world, thanks in no small part to the history, architecture and design of the building itself.

Guests during the TEA event particularly enjoyed the Hall of Mirrors, the iconic sound and light show first used at the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris. A temporary exhibit is currently celebrating the TV singing contest The Voice.

In recent years operator Compagnie des Alpes has taken the Grévin brand global by experimenting with new outlets in Montreal, Prague and Seoul. But it is the Parisian original that continues to charm generation after generation of visitor.

The recent TEA gathering was attended by approximately 40 guests  from all over France. After a private tour, guests spent a few hours networking with friends old and new. This free event was kindly sponsored by Musée Grévin and Compagnie des Alpes.

Members of the TEA EME division meet regularly for networking drinks, behind-the-scenes tours and more across Europe and the Middle East.
