Steve Birket of Birket Engineering will be next TEA International Board President

Burbank, Calif USA – The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) announced that its next International Board President will be Steve Birket, PE, of Birket Engineering. Birket officially became TEA President-Elect by a unanimous vote of the Board on May 13, 2014. In November 2014, he will succeed sitting President Christine Kerr of BaAM Productions in the position.

The annual TEA/AECOM Theme Index and Museum Index, the definitive annual attendance study for the themed entertainment and museum industries, was released in spring 2014.

SATE 2014 design conference set for Oct 2-3 in Sarasota, FL: TEA issues call for participation

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) welcomes proposals for its annual SATE Conference - a professional dialog on Experience Design, to be held October 2&3, 2014 in Sarasota, Florida USA, hosted by Florida State University.

Report & photos from TEA Strategic Planning Meeting 2014 at Universal Studios Hollywood

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) held its strategic planning meeting for 2014 Jan 23-24 at the Globe Theater, Universal Studios Hollywood. TEA president Christine Kerr of BaAM Productions was in her second and final term as TEA president to be completed in November. Among the milestones Kerr recounted at the meeting were effecting the transition to a new COO of the association, putting the development of TEA's new website into motion, the growth of the TEA NextGen initiative and enhanced collaborations with IAAPA.
