GibGab: TEA helps students find careers in themed entertainment

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) cultivates students and young talent through its NextGen initiative. Activities include TEA GibGab, a speed networking event bringing together TEA NextGen members, who are college students or recent grads - with TEA member companies looking for new hires. Professional development takes place through a series of tightly scheduled, brief interviews and a group question-and-answer session.

Futuroscope's Time Machine attraction honored with Thea Award, showcased at TEA Summit March 20-21

It took a lot of audacity to welcome the demented world of the Cretins into a park with set goals such as Parc du Futuroscope. But in response to changing demographics and the need for a different brand of “fun,”, a partnership was formed with Ubisoft, creators of the popular Lapin Cretins franchise. The result was The Time Machine: a new "5D" attraction and a fresh direction for this specialized, media-oriented theme park in Poitiers, France.

Mainland China's explosion of cultural attractions, theme parks and resorts has a radiant new standard-bearer: Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), will honor Chimelong Ocean Kingdom on March 21 with a Thea Award - a top prestige within the global visitor attractions industry. The previous day, March 20, a Chimelong case study will be a feature of the annual TEA Summit conference.
