Submissions are now closed for the 27th Annual TEA Thea Awards

Submissions are now closed for the 27th Annual TEA Thea Awards of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), the global membership association for the creators of compelling places and experiences, but you can start planning for next year. The new slate of recipients will be announced in November 2020. #TEAtheas

The TEA Thea Awards recognize excellence and innovation in the themed entertainment and international visitor attractions industry. Each year, hundreds of submissions are received and considered by the TEA Thea Awards Committee for outstanding destination attractions, breakthrough technology, event spectaculars, cultural attractions or guest experiences, and individuals who have made their mark through a lifetime of distinguished achievements.

  • You can submit your own project, event, or technology
  • Open to TEA members and non-members alike
  • Submissions for lifetime achievement honorees and for the Thea Classic Award are also welcome
  • Recipients will be announced in November 2020
  • Awards will be formally presented in Spring 2021 at the 27th Annual TEA Thea Awards Gala presented by Chimelong

Celebrating the 26th Theas recipients online in 2020, with Thea Case Studies and the Thea Awards Program

The TEA Thea Awards recipients are traditionally celebrated and recognized with a day of Thea Case Studies at the TEA Summit and officially awarded at the TEA Thea Awards Gala presented by Chimelong, at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic these in-person gatherings cannot take place in 2020 but are set to resume in 2021.

Thea Case Studies 2020

In 2020, the full slate of 26th Annual TEA Thea Awards recipients is being recognized and celebrated, with appropriate fanfare, in a series of online Thea Case Studies on the TEA Digital platform. Tickets are now available for the full package of seven case studies sessions that will run from August-November and can be viewed sequentially or on-demand.

26th Annual TEA Thea Awards Program now available online

The official 26th Annual TEA Thea Awards Program, containing project descriptions, photos, bios and credits lists, has been published and can be accessed, downloaded and shared.
