"When have you ever gone to a professional conference and felt like you came home a different person? Well, it happened to me..."
"...after so many hundreds of museum and attraction expos and conferences, many of them very stimulating and productive, TEA SATE - Seattle [26-27 September] was something altogether different. Maybe it's the angst-ridden times we live in, but the choice of over-arching theme 'Embracing Diversity - Experiences that Bring People Together' was powerful, extremely well programmed and organized by the three Co-Chairs [Ian Klein, Shannon Martin and Nathan Jones], and left me feeling like I had been exposed to a new way of thinking and being in all that I do.
"Diversity, inclusion, equity and equality - it was all there embedded in stories of how to consider doing things better in the world of Experience Design - better as in truly accessible to all.
"Everything from a sound company hiring a deaf staff person to the hard economic facts of bringing complete accessibility to every kind of human being - which happens to be good for business - to the power of speakers and sessions challenging all of us to recognize that we are flawed in one way or another and need to take stock and make change - to enter into a more thoughtful way of being and working."
More than 300 people convened for TEA SATE - Seattle, 26-27 September 2019. #TEAsate is the definitive conference on #ExperienceDesign. Details of the Seattle event:
