A Message from TEA International Board President: Please Join Me in Anaheim April 21-23

Hello TEA global members and colleagues,

It’s hard to believe, but we’re actually now less than two weeks away from our first in-person TEA Summit & Thea Awards Gala in two years (April 21-23 in Anaheim)!

The anticipation brings a mix of emotions, but what I feel most is a personal sense of excitement and satisfaction. It’s been truly a privilege for me to lead the TEA through these tough times where I have witnessed the resiliency of the TEA and our members first-hand. I’m very much looking forward to addressing the membership in-person from the Summit stage.

If you’re on the fence about attending, I strongly encourage you to come if you are able. Anyone who has been around the TEA long enough knows that the power of the TEA is fully manifested when we are together under one roof. This small investment of your time and money will yield returns for many years to come. I’ve lost count of the people I’ve met in line while getting coffee on one of the breaks or at Trader Sam’s or Downtown Disney following the Gala, that have opened doors, turned into business partnerships and resulted in life-long friendships.

This year’s programming is truly exceptional. A few of my anticipated highlights are:

  • The State of The Industry Round Table on Day 1 featuring an all-star panel of experts
  • The Keynote by Matt Dunsmoor of Simon Sinek, Inc.
  • The interview with industry legend and 2021 Buzz Price Lifetime Achievement Recipient, Doris Hardoon who will be joined by Bob Weis
  • An interview with our truly inspirational Catalyst recipients
  • The coveted behind the scenes look into the creation of the places and experiences created by this year’s 28th Annual Thea recipients on Summit Day 2
  • The Thea Awards Gala, where our industry creators and collaborators get to shine

I also feel humbled. Collectively, we’ve been through more than any of us could have ever imagined these last two years, both personally and professionally. We’ve all experienced varying degrees of loss and hardship and the climb out has been steeper for some. I want to specifically acknowledge our members in Europe, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the world who can’t be with us in Anaheim due to travel restrictions, health concerns, or global conflict. It truly won’t be the same without you, but please know that you have our empathy, you are in our thoughts and we are saving you a seat for next year.

Finally, I feel grateful. I’m grateful for those members who are able to travel, who purchased their tickets, and who will be there to learn from one another, collaborate, and to help us celebrate. Thank you for helping us carry the torch forward and continue the tradition of this epic event. This is the moment where we will shine and reset the stage for tomorrow!

If you’d like to join us, it’s not too late! Here's the links to register: TEA Summit & Thea Awards Gala

I look forward to seeing you in Anaheim!

Best regards,

Chuck Fawcett
