Social Mixer at Player One Arcade & Bar
By Cindy Dice
On June 1, 2022, TEA members and guests headed to Player One Arcade Bar in Los Angeles where they socialized, networked, and grabbed a few drinks! Located in the heart of North Hollywood, this one-of-a-kind arcade serves their guests an assortment of 80s-themed cocktails, beers, and liqueurs as well as a selection of classic entertainment of the 80s and 90s. Everyone had a great time, and even challenged each other in some of the retro video games, air-hockey and foosball available. A food truck was also conveniently parked outside the arcade for guests who found themselves craving a meal as they socialized and played games.
The arcade grew more electric as the evening rolled on, with about 175 guests at the event’s peak. The guests who attended ranged from locals to out-of-towners as far as the Inland Valley and even one from out of the country who is studying abroad from a town near London, England. The conversations among guests ranged from catching up to making business deals and appointments. There were a few next-gens present as well, hoping to find a possible career within the themed entertainment industry.
