Eric Baker is a Senior Creative Director and award-winning themed entertainment professional whose career spans nearly four decades in theme parks, film, and television. Most recently, he completed work on the repaint of Hogwarts Castle at Universal Orlando Resort serving as Senior Creative Director.
Widely recognized for creating immersive worlds, Eric helped redefine theme park storytelling through his work on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, where he led a team that created more than 100,000 custom props and environmental details. He later served as Creative Director for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge both at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. His work has earned three THEA Awards for Outstanding Achievement. He also won the Lifetime achievement award from the University of Georgia's Grady school of mass communication. The school’s highest honor.
Eric’s earlier career includes roles as art director, designer, decorator, prop master, fabricator, model builder, puppet builder, and puppeteer. His film and television credits include From the Earth to the Moon, Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba, Jim Henson Productions, the Muppets, and more than 1,000 episodes of children’s television for Nickelodeon Studios.
He is featured in One Day at Disney and The Imagineering Story, in both book and documentary form. His career has helped shape the modern standard for immersive themed entertainment.
