Business Description for Membership Directory: Cod Steaks is a UK-based creative design and fabrication studio specialising in the design development, fabrication and delivery of large-scale sculptural installations, props, model-making and immersive themed environments. Founded in Bristol in 1980, the company has over 45 years’ experience transforming ambitious creative visions into detailed, durable and highly crafted physical experiences.
Operating at the intersection of art, architecture, engineering and technical problem-solving, Cod Steaks supports projects from early concept development and prototyping through to fabrication, logistics, installation and long-term support. Our work is often complex in scale, finish, transportability and site conditions, requiring a careful balance of creative interpretation, technical delivery and operational robustness.
Our core expertise spans prop-making, model-making, scenic theming, sculptural fabrication and technical integration. This is supported by extensive in-house design, engineering and production capability, allowing us to maintain close control over quality, programme, durability and creative intent throughout the delivery process.
