Personal Bio: Eve Weston believes in storytelling as a force for positive change. She began her creative career writing and developing for several ABC/Disney channels and shows, including Wizards of Waverly Place—where she wrote and choreographed a viral YouTube sensation for Selena Gomez that took off because of its highly successful, unique approach to audience engagement and went on to inspire user-generated content (UGC) internationally.
A self-starter, Weston went on to write/direct/produce the award-winning world’s first 360VR immersive sitcom. Now established as a pioneer in creative technology, she is on a mission to improve story-driven experience design through research, experimentation and testing. She is an expert consultant in product/experience/creative development and innovation for a range of clients, from top Hollywood producers to Silicon Valley manufacturers of XR hardware and software. Excellent at communication, ideation and intellection, Weston is also a professor of VR filmmaking, TV writing and immersive storytelling at top-ranked film schools. Inspired by the evolution of virtual reality and the power of interactive storytelling, she is now back in school at Full Sail University earning her B.S. Game Development.
While teaching, Weston, a systems thinker and strategic, deliberative learner, noticed a lack of language to describe impact in interactive experiences and authored the Taxonomy of Experience, published in multiple double-blind peer-reviewed publications. European governments, theme parks and billion dollar companies have flown her out to speak on the topic. Other speaking engagements include Stanford University, SIGGRAPH and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the organization behind the Emmys.
Weston founded and runs TheLook.Club, the first searchable database of immersive narrative, which also hosts an original review show on its YouTube channel. An award-winning journalist, she has written about VR for The New York Post et al. and writes regularly about AI and innovation in media technology for the Producers’ Guild of America's Produced By Magazine. An adaptable and analytical achiever, activator and arranger, Weston is an alumna of Princeton, USC and Goldman Sachs.
