Personal Bio: Hey there! I’m Preston Ramirez McGurn- a themed entertainment designer and storyteller obsessed with building worlds people can step into. From haunted houses to live shows, I love creating experiences that don’t just entertain — they transport. My journey began in high school, where I founded and directed "Student-Run", a student-led concert series that transformed empty auditoriums into immersive experiences. Leading those productions taught me how to bring big ideas to life — writing narratives, designing sets and lighting, collaborating with performers, and building something that connected with people on a deeper level. At the same time, I dove headfirst into the art of designing and producing haunted attractions for my community. These projects were a rich learning ground, a place where I could immerse myself in fear, tension, and atmosphere. It was a process of discovery, learning how to blend storytelling and environment to shape emotion. I found a profound love for amplifying the horror aspect, grounding it in a powerful narrative, and transporting an audience into a world of darkness. Now pursuing a BFA in Production Design at SCAD, I’m hungry to take those skills even further—to design larger-than-life attractions, weave stories into physical spaces, and push the boundaries of what themed entertainment can be. I want to build worlds that people talk about long after they’ve left, that spark curiosity, wonder, and emotion. Whether it’s a haunted house, a concert, or a theme park experience, my goal is always the same: to tell stories you don’t just watch — you live.
