Personal Bio: I am Matthew Kunkel, 21, an undergraduate student at the University of the Pacific, pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science with an expected graduation date of May 9, 2026. My passion for roller coasters and theme parks began in elementary school and has since evolved into a focused career goal: developing software systems for roller coasters, animatronics, and other show control systems used throughout the themed entertainment industry. I bring experience in data analytics, database management, and full-stack software engineering. I am currently expanding my skill set into electrical engineering, learning PLC programming and mechanical processes relevant to ride control systems. My unique combination of traditional computer science knowledge and emerging expertise in industrial controls positions me to contribute to the next generation of immersive attraction experiences. As I begin my journey into the themed entertainment field, I am eager to connect with professionals, learn from industry veterans, and explore how technology can enhance guest experiences in meaningful ways.
