Personal Bio: Alexandra Campbell is a Sr. Production Designer with more than a decade of experience delivering immersive entertainment projects for leading entertainment companies including Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Creative, and Meow Wolf. Combining a foundation in fine art with extensive fabrication and production expertise, she specializes in transforming creative concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions while maintaining design intent.
Alexandra’s recent work includes an Indiana Jones attraction within the new Tropical Americas land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the reimagining of Test Track at EPCOT, and Universal Creative’s Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry at Epic Universe. She has also provided show set installation leadership for the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny cruise ships at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany.
During design development, Alexandra adds value by applying her fabrication and field experience to drawing reviews. With a focus on constructability, materiality, coordination, and completeness, she works with design teams to identify potential production challenges early and clarify creative intent. This work results in documentation that can move efficiently into estimating, procurement, fabrication, and installation.
With experience on both sides of the proposal process, Alexandra has a practical understanding of what vendors need to price work accurately. She develops and reviews packages with an emphasis on clearly defined scope and appropriate drawing and specification content. By anticipating stakeholder questions before release, she helps reduce assumptions, RFIs, and scope gaps while improving the quality and comparability of vendor proposals.
Alexandra’s multidisciplinary background allows her to translate effectively between creative, technical, and operational teams. She helps teams preserve their creative vision throughout design development and construction by communicating complex design intent in actionable terms.
Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from State University of New York College at Brockport and holds a Graduate Certificate in Themed Environment Integration from the University of Florida. She is currently completing a Master of Science in Architectural Studies with a concentration in Themed Environment Integration, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2027. Her graduate research explores the integration of sustainable biomaterials into art, fabrication, and immersive environments, reflecting her ongoing interest in the future of experiential design and creative production.
