TEA In the News

Dear Members of the Themed Entertainment Association Community,

After careful consideration and ongoing monitoring of the escalating conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States, TEA has made the difficult decision to cancel TEA SATE EME, which had been scheduled to take place March 25–28 at Dubai Parks and Resorts in Dubai.

This decision was made with the safety and well-being of our members as our foremost priority. While we know how meaningful it is for our community to gather, the current circumstances and the uncertainty they bring require us to act with care, responsibility, and respect for those most directly affected.

Our thoughts are especially with our members, partners, and colleagues based in the region, as well as their families and loved ones. We recognize that many within our community are navigating both professional and personal concerns during this time, and we want you to know that the global TEA community stands with you in support.

The Middle East remains an important and strategic market for our members and for TEA. Our commitment to the region and to the incredible community of professionals working there remains steadfast. We look forward to continuing to engage with and support our members across the Middle East as conditions allow and when it is appropriate to gather again.

We also recognize that our colleagues at IAAPA are currently navigating extremely complex considerations regarding the continuation of the IAAPA Middle East Expo. The decision before them carries significant implications for exhibitors, partners, and the broader attractions industry. While the impact of our decision to cancel SATE EME is meaningful to our community, we acknowledge that the scale and complexity of IAAPA’s considerations are far greater. We extend our full support to IAAPA as they work through this challenging process and stand in solidarity with their team, their members, and our shared industry colleagues.

Thank you for your understanding and for the care you continue to show one another during this time. Our industry is strongest when we stand together.

With care and appreciation,

Melissa Oviedo
