Where History, Culture and Creativity Converged: TEA SATE North America

Blog

United by passion, curiosity and creativity, attendees gathered in New Orleans for TEA SATE North America. One of the United States’ most historic cities, the Big Easy provided the perfect backdrop for the two-day program. It demonstrated how stories rooted in place can inspire dynamic experiences for today’s guests. Through presentations by globally recognized industry professionals, surprise performances by talented local artists, behind-the-scenes tours, firsthand experiences and shared conversations, attendees explored where themed entertainment began, where it is today and where it is headed.

SATE North America began at The National WWII Museum, where attendees gathered for an exclusive showing of “Beyond All Boundaries,” followed by a panel discussion and time to explore the immersive museum. The next day, the historic Le Petit Theatre hosted SATE’s educational program. There, attendees examined the connection between time, place and space. Industry leaders considered how history can inspire contemporary experiences, while conversations also addressed culture, roots, inclusivity and design for people of all abilities.

After a full day of presentations, idea-sharing and forward-looking discussion, attendees moved from learning to live experience. A brass band brought unmistakable New Orleans energy as everyone headed to The Mortuary Haunted Mansion. Guests received an exclusive look inside the more than 150-year-old property, joined a curated conversation about the immersive destination and experienced its many haunts and scares firsthand.

Throughout the event, attendees explored, learned and exchanged ideas. Every location, speaker and performance reinforced the value of gathering in person to build connections and experience creative storytelling at work.
