Themed Entertainment Association’s (TEA) NextGen committee helps students and recent graduates find their way into the themed entertainment/visitor attractions industry and facilitates TEA member companies’ ability to recruit from this fresh talent pool. TEA NextGen also works with academic institutions to foster the creation of themed entertainment curricula. Universities and colleges may create TEA student clubs under the TEA NextGen umbrella.
The attractions industry is expanding rapidly - and globally - in the 21st century, with the most dramatic growth taking place in Asia and the Middle East. TEA NextGen members are in a position to find and pursue opportunities around the world in such fields as architecture, design, engineering, operations, fabrication, costuming, master planning, media production, animation, show control, lighting, special effects, show writing, AV integration, ride design, manufacturing and more. TEA resources and benefits available to NextGen members aid in finding internships, mentors, and job placement. The NextGen Committee works with TEA Divisions to provide professional development opportunities including GibGab speed networking, TEA Talks webinars, industry educational sessions, and special access to TEA events such as conferences, mixers, and behind-the-scenes tours.
